My new housekeeper, I named her Rosie – As a throwback from the Jetson’s cartoon, and while growing up as a child in that era. As a futuristic robot, I found the name fitting here.
It’s rated to deliver 24,000 Pa of suction, which is higher than many of the competing models I have looked at, although I am not able to test that claim with any special tools, I have found in the couple runs so far that it has kept my floors and area rugs clean, so that is all I can ask of it. It is so nice to walk on clean floors as I am the type of person that likes to walk around in his bare feet.
Although I do not have large high thresholds for it, the ones I have from my kitchen to the dining area, kitchen to hallway, and into the bathroom are thicker and I have noticed that instead of riding along and eventually getting over it like my old ecovacs n8 pro always did, that this one, rather than that, just backs up a bit and take a “run” at it to get over it.
The extending side brush is a welcome addition and definitely helps in getting the corners cleaner and under the edges of our cabinets, stove and fridge. This is a huge advantage around tables and chair legs in our house as well.
Obstacle avoidance, in my home is proving to be second-to-none. It has not once gotten tangled on any cords or cat toys on the floor. With three cats, they love their toys, we have not once had to pick them up before cleaning, Rosie just goes around them and continues its task. Always nice to have one less thing to worry about. Although we have (well had) a lighter area rug that the suction on this just carried it along the floor, so we removed that area rug, so the suction power is definately there.
