I recently received the MOVA V50 (now officially named Alfina) as part of the #GetYourV50 program, and wanted to share my initial setup experience along with a bit of context.
I already have a MOVA robot vacuum at home. He is a P10 Pro Ultra named Alfred, who has been holding it down on cleaning duties, especially when it comes to keeping up with my cats’ never-ending shedding. Because of that, I was really interested in seeing how the V50 would fit into the mix. The plan now is for Alfina to take over the main floor, while Alfred gets reassigned downstairs. Unfortunately Alfred Jr. and Alfina are lovers and I fear that they may never meet...
Setup itself was very straightforward. I got the dock in place, filled the clean water tank, added the cleaning solution, plugged everything in, scanned the QR code, and the app handled the rest. It didn’t feel like one of those setups where you have to fight with it to get going. Everything connected smoothly on the first try.
First impression is that it feels well-built and ready for daily use. I’ll be putting Alfina through some more real-world tests next, especially with pet hair and general day-to-day mess, but so far it’s off to a really solid start.
