One feature I didn’t think much about at first, but ended up noticing right away, is how Alfina handles transitions, especially getting onto thicker surfaces like rugs.
I have a high-pile shag rug on my main floor that’s always been a bit of a challenge. With my previous setup, whether it got cleaned or not was pretty inconsistent. Sometimes Alfred (our other vacuum) would make it up, sometimes he wouldn’t, and occasionally he just avoided it altogether.
During the first few runs with Alfina, I paid close attention to how she approached it. Instead of hesitating or struggling, she was able to climb up onto the rug smoothly and continue cleaning with little interruption. The movement looked controlled rather than forced, which gave me more confidence in letting her run without supervision.
It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference. Being able to reliably clean across different floor types without intervention is a big part of what makes the experience feel truly hands-off.
