Most of our main floor is hard surface, but there are rugs scattered around where people walk the most and where the pets love to hang out. These photos show the vacuum moving from vinyl flooring onto a rug, and I’m pretty sure I can actually hear it adjust its suction depending on the surface.
What really surprised me though was watching it lift itself up onto the baby mat. I genuinely paused and stared at it for a second because I didn’t expect that to work as smoothly as it did.
Seeing it handle different surfaces without me needing to intervene made me realise how far this kind of technology has come. It’s nice not having to think about where it can or can’t go, especially in a house where the floors change from room to room.
