Just upgraded from the P50 Ultra to the V50. Pretty excited, though mostly I'm watching to see how the cat reacts.
He's claimed one specific thick-pile rug as his spot and has shown no interest in negotiating. The V50's first real obstacle isn't furniture layout. It's him. I give it three sessions before one of them blinks.
The carpet is actually what I care most about testing. Low-pile was never a problem with the P50 Ultra, but this rug is thick, heavily used, and covered in cat hair at all times. That's where I'll find out if the upgrade actually matters.
Over the next few posts I'll be writing up the full comparison: what changed, what didn't, what was worth it. If you've moved from an older Mova model, I'm curious what surprised you.
Anyone running the V50 on thicker carpet, any settings you'd change from default? Suction, schedule, anything? Happy to skip the trial and error if someone's already done it.
