So what are my thoughts and personal conclusion for this after a month?
Let me start by saying when I first received this, to say I was a little skeptical would be an understatement. There are many things in life that manufactures’ over-hype and under deliver in both features and performance.
After the initial mapping of my Main Floor, which only took about 8 minutes, I did not have much room adjustments to do, it was very good at separating the rooms. Sure, I had to go into the app and label them to my liking, but that was easy.
Being able to hide rooms from the map was a nice touch as we have an entrance that leads to the upstairs and the robot in its mapping seen that as a room, which I was able to hide in the app, so now the mapping looks like I want it to…. maybe my OCD, but makes the map look like how I want it to be.
Watching this thing do its wonders has amazed me. The smallest feature like turning on the LED in a low-lit room and under the beds is such a nice addition to detail that I feel gets over looked. It is quiet on it’s standard vacuuming power, and near silent when mopping. Our one cat, Charlie still hisses at it though. Molly, our youngest cat is too fearless and just sits in front of it, and it just goes around her and comes back later to clean that area.
Our main floor and basement are both just under 1000 sq.feet each. The Main Floor has the kitchen, dining area, living room, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, while the basement has a Utility Room, Bathroom, Laundry, Living Room and a Bar and I am able to do both the Main Floor and Basement with a single charge and the remaining battery percentage when completed is around 27%. Not the best battery life out there I'm sure, but it does work for our house on a single charge. Others' mileage may vary.
Secondly let me say I am, in more ways impressed with this than even the Dreame X30 Ultra I have had for 6 months now. I say had as this has impressed me to the point that it has now replaced the Dreame for the Main Floor and I got a new Mova P50 Pro Ultra for our downstairs and have sold the Dreame X30 Ultra.
I will have to give Mova credit here. It’s not easy to win me over to the point to get a second of their product, not a V50 Pro Ultra Complete, but a P50 Pro Ultra for our downstairs. I wish I didn't have to buy a whole kit, but as Mova does not (yet, but hopefully in the future) sell just the docking station as these are capable of multi-floor mapping.
Now, when you open the box and see the extra accessories this V50 includes, from the extra dust filters, dust bags, mop pads, side brushes and main rollers and a sample bottle of Pet Solution, not to mention they have even gone so far as to include a full bottle of the Multi Surface Cleaning Solution, not a sample size. All in all, likely an additional $150+ dollars the user won’t have to spend to get these additional items so soon.
I have only been using this for a month, but the features it has and price can not be understated. Mova is leading here on a feature per dollar comparison. Will it prove to be one of the best, too early for me to pass that judgement, but I can honestly say that in the time I have been using it in my household, it has been impressive and is doing what a robot vacuum is designed to do, and it does it very well. Will it replace my stand alone vacuum and mop, no, I never expected it to as I feel your still need to manually go over vacuuming the rugs and mopping, just not nearly as frequent, for me, as I wil llikely just have to do this twice a year now instead, so by having these robot vacuum/mop combos it is leaving me more time to enjoy life, family and friends.
Mova, in my opinion is leading the way and other competing companies need to sit up and pay attention.
I would like to thank Mova in allowing me the opportunity to try their product and give my personal experience and input on it's performance and capabilities. I am finding new and interesting things on this as I delve deeper into it and the application. Little things that Mova has incorporated into this to make life just a little more enjoyable. Robot vacuums sure have come a long way in the last few years, and I am sure Mova will continue to lead with innovative ideas and incorporate them into their products for users to enjoy!!!
If I would have one suggestion to Mova, it would be, although these will do Multi Floor mapping and cleanings, having a separate docking station for the user to purchase to place on the other floors would be nice rather than purchase a whole kit, as the internal water tank is too small to complete the mopping. Moving the station and robot vac to each floor to do this task, for many users is not going to be ideal.
