The robot repeatedly stops cleaning after only a few minutes, powers off, and then appears as Offline in the MOVAhome app.
I initially suspected a Wi-Fi issue, so I performed extensive network troubleshooting. I tested the robot on my home Rogers Wi-Fi using 2.4 GHz and also performed a separate test using an iPhone Personal Hotspot with Maximize Compatibility enabled. The robot successfully connected to the iPhone hotspot, received an IP address, and showed a strong Wi-Fi signal in MOVAhome.
The same shutdown occurred while connected to the iPhone hotspot, so the problem does not appear to be specific to my home router.
During the hotspot test I observed very abnormal battery behaviour:
Robot initially reported approximately 100% battery.
During mop washing/preparation, the battery percentage rapidly decreased through the 90s and 80s.
Cleaning began at approximately 84%.
The percentage continued dropping rapidly during cleaning.
The robot then shut down completely, after which MOVAhome reported the device as Offline.
Shortly before the shutdown, the app had been displaying approximately 74% battery.
After placing/reconnecting the robot to the charging dock, the displayed battery level changed dramatically.
It showed approximately 29% charging at 15:13, then 47% at 15:13, 70% at 15:14, and 82% at 15:15.
At one point the battery indication also briefly jumped to 100%.
While charging, I observed the displayed percentage increasing approximately 1% every 1–2 seconds.
This does not appear to represent normal battery charging/discharging. Since the robot also shuts down on a completely separate Wi-Fi hotspot, I suspect a problem with the battery pack, battery-management/state-of-charge system, power circuitry, or another hardware component.
