[MOBIUS 60] V50 elevation help

Hello,

I have a slightly higher floor, about 45mm. I set it on the map as a passable threshold but the v50 cannot climb on it as is. It spins its wheels and then gives up. I want to add a small wooden piece to act as a first step. Can you advise on ideal dimensions?

Thank you

Hello,

Regarding the issue you mentioned where your V50 Ultra is having difficulty climbing over a threshold of approximately 45mm, we completely understand how this might be affecting your experience. Based on the product specifications, the V50 Ultra is designed to handle single-step obstacles up to 42mm, and up to 60mm when climbing in two stages.

Since your threshold slightly exceeds the single-step limit, your idea of placing a small wooden board as a “first step” is a great and practical solution. To help you set it up effectively, we’d like to offer the following suggestions:

- Recommended height for the wooden board: Ideally between 20–25mm, to reduce the height the robot needs to climb in one go.
- Length: The board should cover at least two-thirds of the threshold’s width to ensure the robot has enough surface area to grip and climb.
- Placement: Please place the board centered in front of the threshold, so the robot can approach it head-on and transition smoothly.

After placing the board, we recommend observing whether the robot can now pass the area successfully. If the issue still persists, we’d be happy to assist further. In that case, it would be helpful if you could share the following with our support team:

- The device’s serial number (SN)
- A short video showing the robot attempting to climb the threshold
- A screenshot of the map, especially the area around the threshold

With this information, our technical team will be able to provide more targeted assistance. We truly appreciate your patience and support.

I got the robot to climb using a piece of wood, 3/2 inches tall, 5/8 inches deep. Knowing that it is possible, I’ll experiment with your recommendations as well.

The robot climbs down as well. Is it fair to say that the impact of a daily 45mm climb down won’t break or impact the robot’s performance?

Hello, thank you for your feedback.

The V50 Ultra is equipped with strong obstacle-climbing capabilities. It features a spring-damped universal wheel structure and supports asynchronous obstacle-crossing actions in the app, which helps absorb impact during elevation changes and improves stability and passability.

According to the product specifications, the device can directly overcome single-step obstacles up to 42mm in height. For two-stage climbing, it can handle height differences of up to approximately 60mm. Therefore, the 45mm height difference in your environment is theoretically within the device’s supported range.

To ensure long-term stable performance, we recommend the following:

- Try to keep elevation transitions as smooth as possible. You may continue using the wooden block or similar structures you mentioned during testing to assist the robot.
- Regularly inspect the underside wheel assemblies and shock absorption components to ensure there is no abnormal wear or jamming.
- If you notice any unusual behavior or increased noise, please contact our after-sales team for further inspection.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

Thank you for the advice.

Should I be setting the clearance leg setting to hurdle style or synchronized?

You can switch between the two modes depending on your floor conditions to achieve the best cleaning performance.

- Synchronized Mode: Both legs move simultaneously, resulting in smoother operation. This mode is ideal for everyday cleaning on flat surfaces.

This enhances the robot's ability to overcome obstacles and is suitable for complex terrain.

- Hurdle Mode: The two obstacle-clearing legs lift alternately, mimicking a "hurdling" motion.

Hello, we recommend adjusting the setting based on your actual home environment:
