[V50 Ultra Complete] Low-Light Obstacle Avoidance Visualized

For this video, I wanted to test the MOVA V50 in a darker and more difficult situation.

I placed a few pairs of shoes in my front entry, turned off the lights, and disabled the robot’s fill light to see how it would handle the obstacles with less visual help. The main view comes from an overhead night vision camera, which also makes some of the V50’s normally invisible obstacle detection lights visible on video. I also added a regular camera view in the lower right corner to show how dark the room actually was.

The V50 did drag a shoe a few times, so it was not perfect, but considering the shoes were low, the lights were off, and the fill light was disabled, I was still very impressed.

For this test, I would give it a solid 9 out of 10.

Disclosure: MOVA provided me with the V50 Ultra Complete as part of their trial program. The photos and opinions are my own. #sponsored
