The base station is incredibly feature-rich. Even though the robot is the main actor, the base station still does a lot of the heavy lifting. With the Mova V50 Ultra Complete bundle, the base station handles tasks like mop washing and drying, as well as auto-emptying.
Mop Washing
The base station washes and sanitises the used mop pads at a high temperature, which ensures the next mopping task is done with a fresh clean mop. There are also options to adjust the washing temperature if you ever want to use a lower temperature for mop washing to save on energy.
Mop Drying
The mop drying feature automatically dries the mop after washing. Mop drying is important because it helps avoid bacteria growing on wet mops, which is nice when you have pets on the floor.
Auto Emptying
Different from other robots, the auto-emptying feature on the Mova V50 Ultra base station runs on a low noise level, around ~ 60-70 db, which is a significant upgrade to my previous robots that make a super loud noise during auto emptying that scares my cat away.
Detergent
You actually have not just one, but two detergent tanks in the base station. You have the option in the app to set if you want to mop with detergent or not. Furthermore, you could even set it to use detergent for mop washing.
The best part overall is that the Mova V50 Ultra dock gives you so many options to customize, the dock has a large capacity for the clean water tank and dirty water tank as well, minimizing maintenance needed after each task. But it is still recommended to empty the dirty water tank since it smells really bad after dirty water is kept for a long time.
