For my fifth post, I'd like to talk about the V50 Ultra Complete's navigation abilities. I'll just refer to the robot as the V50. I was sent a V50 by Mova to test and review as part of their "Get & Create" program. Mova has not told me what to say and I intend to give my open and honest feedback throughout the series of reviews.
Navigation and obstacle avoidance is, in my opinion, the most important part of robot vacuum.
If you constantly have to help a stuck robot or worry about if its going to be able to finish its run while you're out of the house it loses all its convenience. So far I'm happy to report that the V50 has been flawless. My P10 has also been flawless so I was expecting the same with the V50.
The V50 accurately maps and navigates its way around the house without issues. It creates efficient routes and follows the edges of walls and cabinets closely without hitting them. The robot will sense obstacles like chair legs, socks, cords etc. and go around them tightly without getting caught.
It seems a bit more hesitant and cautious with its surroundings than my P10 but it could be because it's still compiling data or maybe there's a setting that I have slightly different. Either way not a bad thing it just seems like its thinking a little more.
Overall from my real world use so far the V50 is pretty much perfect at navigation and miles ahead of my older Shark IQ. TranslateView Original Text
